unwin hyman

When Allen & Unwin and Bell & Hyman merged to form Unwin Hyman we created the identity for the new company. Mindful of the sensitivities and significance of provenance within the publishing industry, we discovered that both companies had published work by Walter Crane, a contemporary of William Morris. An illustration by Crane of a man completing the drawing of a circle was selected as an appropriate image and imprint to unite the diverse groups within the company.
